Celebrating the holiday season with food? Of course you are! It’s nearly impossible to get through December without indulging in a few special culinary delights. Which are your favourites? Are you ready to try something new?

Easy Online Christmas Grocery Shopping

Leo Foods is not just a British supermarket – we stock a full selection of foods, drinks, and products from around the world, so you can easily make whatever your heart desires this holiday season, from traditional British Christmas foods to tasty dishes with exotic flavours. So whether you’re looking to make those traditional dishes you know and love to don your table this year, or are on the hunt for something else entirely, you can find whatever you need at Leo Foods’ international supermarket in Marbella or online on our eShop online supermarket! When shopping online, delivery is available anywhere in mainland Spain and Portugal, too, so there’s no reason why you can’t have all your favourite foods from home or around the world on your table (and in your stomach!) this Christmas, New Year, Day of the Kings, and beyond.

Christmas Foods From Around The World

Looking for something a bit different but just as delicious this Christmas? Why not spice things up with some of these Christmas foods from around the world?

Like all traditional Indian meals, a proper Christmas feast depends heavily on the region. Meat takes centre stage on the menu of a North Eastern Indian Christmas dinner while West India is known for its sweets made from coconut, rice and semolina. The East of India follows very British-style Christmas dinners with mutton (in curry form), roasts and marzipan. So if you’re looking to spice up your Christmas table this year, we highly recommend picking up some garam masala, coriander powder, cumin, turmeric and chili powder from Leo Foods’ nearly endless collection of spices and making up your own flavour-packed mutton curry as part of your family’s Christmas dinner. Mutton curry over rice also makes for a fantastic Boxing Day lunch too, so go ahead and make plenty to have some left over!

Middle Eastern or Persian foods for Christmas are studded with fruits, nuts and spices that we associate with the comforts of home this time of year and make for a delicious alternative to a traditional British Christmas dinner. Pick up Heera lentils and Gold brand rose petals from Leo Foods to mix with potatoes and stuff in puff pastry to make sambuseh, or serve your own classic Christmas roast alongside Persian sweet rice packed with almonds, pistachios, carrots, orange zest, cardamom and saffron, all available via Leo Foods’ cash and carry warehouse or from our online international supermarket.

Although Islam is the official religion in Iran, Christians who live there may celebrate Christmas on either December 25 or January 6 and usually with a delicious harissa chicken stew. It’s also common practice for Christians in Iran to fast from December 1 until December 25, avoiding all meats, eggs, milk and cheese. If this is the case for you, you’ll want to check out Leo Food’s selection of vegan foods for a delicious assortment of tasty foods and treats you can cook with and indulge in leading up to Christmas!

If you love a little kick to your food, why not prepare your Christmas turkey Mexican-style with a cumin, chimichurri, pil-pil, or Cajun spice rub from the Leo Foods online international supermarket? Don’t forget to pick up some Casa Serrano tortilla wraps while you’re at it for leftover burritos the next day! Latin American Christmas foods also commonly include clove and cinnamon-infused hot chocolate, tamales and roast suckling pig, all with plenty of spice and flavour to heat up your palette and keep you warm from the inside out this Christmas.

Roast pig is also a popular Filipino Christmas dish, but if you happen to be vegan or vegetarian, we recommend spicing up Tender Jack original jackfruit meat alternative for a surprisingly meaty-without-the-meat alternative to pork; or grab some Red A black rice and Arroyo D coconut to make puto bambong, a traditional cake cooked on bamboo skewers (yes, Leo Foods carries those too!) or buko pandan, a pandan, coconut and cream custard for a delicious way to finish off your Christmas dinner.

We proudly carry a full range of Asian foods, Indian foods, Latin American foods, Mediterranean foods, Middle Eastern foods, and organic, vegan and vegetarian speciality products too. So whether you’re planning on making traditional holiday foods from home (wherever that may be!) or want to try something entirely new and delicious this year, cooking up a Christmas feast like no other is easier (and tastier!) than ever when you shop at Leo Food’s international supermarket in Marbella or on our online supermarket from the convenience from your own home! A world of Christmas flavours awaits!
